Western ocean foragers arrived in Fiji about 3000 years ago and brought with them a distinctive pottery tradition known at Lapita. Although Fijian pottery styles and decoration have changed since them, the art of pottery making has persisted in the Fiji islands to the present day.
These large pots are designed in the Fijian style and are ideal for use as plant containers. Although their finish has the appearance of a clay pot they are actually made from Fibrecrete,
a composite of a cast stone mix and glass fibre that creates a robust product with a finish that will weather naturally over time.
