Stone ball water features are available in three different sizes and also in three different styles. Each one is drilled for use as a fountain. It is possible to fit a waterproof spotty light at the top the bore hole. Water spurting from the feature can then be illuminated to produce a stunning night time effect. The movement of the water over the light creates a flickering effect similar to that of a candle. Please note that the spotty lights shown in the photographs are not included with the feature but are available as an option.

The balls are sold individually with a number of options. While it is possible to mount one on a plinth in a garden pond we recommend the use of a pebble pool base for most installations. Finia pebble pool bases are heavy duty bases that can withstand the weight of a granite feature of this type. For installation the base is normally buried in the ground, covered with stone or shale and the feature positioned on top of it. For the largest ball we recommend a Finia 1000 base and for the medium and small sizes we recommend the Finia 650. The Finia bases are also available as an option.

A pond pump is required to drive the water from the pond or pebble pool base up through the feature's bore holes to the point at which it emerges from the top of the feature. Again the pond pump is not included with the main feature but is available as an option. When the pond pump is purchased as an option it is supplied with the flexible hose etc. needed to connect it to the feature. The pond pump will normally reside beneath the water, inside the pebble pool base and has 10m of cable for connection to a mains 240V supply.
