Pumping Stations are water butts that contain a submersible pump operated via a float switch. They collect water from a drainpipe and can be connected via a drainpipe diverter. They can be used to either pump water to a large rainwater storage tank located remotely from the point of water collection or to provide pumped water via a hose pipe for garden watering.

The pump’s integral float switch automatically starts the pump when the water level in the butt is high, pumping the water to the outlet connection point on the side of the station. A garden hose should be connected to this outlet point. Although the pump’s operation is automatic, being controlled by the float switch, it is still possible to switch the pump off at its mains supply.

WFOL offer two types of pumping station, i.e. oak barrel types and a plastic water butt type.

Oak Barrel Pumping Stations

Made from genuine oak barrels these pumping stations are available with options including brass taps, wooden barrel taps and easy to install drainpipe diverters. Barrels are available in three sizes; 40, 56 and 100-gallons, they can be more aesthetically pleasing than their plastic equivalent.

Harcostar Pumping Station

These systems are based on a Harcostar Magnum 350 litre water butt. Harcostar water butts are renowned for quality. They are supplied complete with a water butt tap and child safety lid. The Magnum is available in two colour options; a black base with green top or a matching green base with green top.
